I made this cake two nights ago for a special occassion and all guests expressed their compliments! Demonstrated by the size of slices, requests for seconds, and the fact there were no left overs! šŸ˜

I followed the directions exactly as given*. I was uncertain about the frosting because I’ve not seen recipes calling for flour. I was very pleased with results. It really did look like whipped cream – it was so light!

*baked the cake the night before and left on cooling rack until frosted the next morning.

Thank you so much for providing the recipe. I think you’re brilliant.

This cake has an Amazing almond flavor and the frosting, while not a conventional recipe was just amazing as well! I made this for mother’s day and it was a HUGE hit with the family; I will def

So I made this cake again and it was again, fantastic! For the frosting, I added the sugar to the flour and milk. It turned out great with no issues. It also made it unnecessary to process the sugar prior.

Yes, you can use all-purpose flour, measure it carefully though.
