Apple Dapple Cake Recipe
Who is ready for all things apples?! This girl!!
We’re kicking off apple season with this easy apple dapple cake recipe. Think 8 ingredients & 10 minutes prep time. Less than an hour and you’ll be sitting down to a slice of warm apple cake topped with ice cream and caramel topping.
This Amish apple dapple cake recipe comes from my favorite Amish cookbook that I’ve had since I was newly married. What caught my attention was the simplicity of this recipe.
Normally apples are paired with cinnamon (such as in this apple snack cake), but there are some {crazy} people out there who don’t like cinnamon. If you fit that category, this is the cake for you. It has a simple, sweet vanilla flavor that pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee for breakfast.
We like to use Granny Smith apples in this recipe. The apples are tart, which works well with the already sweet cake.
To keep prep time at a minimum, use an apple peeler, corer and slicer to quickly prepare your apples. I don’t know what I’d do without this tool!
Although we love this as an apple dapple coffee cake, you can make it a little more decadent with a scoop of ice cream and caramel topping.
Oh…and this cake is amazing the second day, too. It stays moist so is a great make-ahead cake!

Still hot and humid here in Texas, but I love the aroma of apples baking in the oven. Will definitely try this. I like cinnamon though.
