I made this cake for the Fourth of July this year. It was really good! I loved the cake! The icing was very light tasting but that was ok as it didn’t make the cake super sugary. I would make this again.

You could try crushed pecans, walnuts, or almonds instead of coconut.

The eggs are completely cooked when cooking the frosting. Then remember to refrigerate the cake after it cools down enough.
