Made this cake for my best friend’s birthday. It was heavenly!  We found this cake to be divine.  The cake texture is dense but smooth, and light in taste. It complimented the tangy key lime cream cheese frosting beautifully!  I squeezed fresh key lime for the juice… very flavorful!  My friend loss her taste due to an ear surgery and sourness is one of the 2 tastes she still has.  That’s the reason I pick this cake. She was so happy to be able to enjoy the flavor in the cake. It made her day!  Thanks for sharing the recipe!]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[I was excited to make this for my husband’s birthday as he loves key lime pie. First, this is a heavy and dense cake, much better suited for a Bundt pan than a layer cake. It took longer for my layers to finish baking but that could be my oven. Despite greasing and flouring the pans I had to pry the layers out of the pans. Luckily the dense texture prevented them from falling apart. The icing looks pretty and is just slightly green. The end product looks fine. However, there is no nice tang from the limes in either the icing or the cake itself. I even added a lot of extra lime juice to the icing to try and compensate for the flavorless cake. This is probably the least satisfying experience I’ve had with a cake in years. Sorry! :0(]]></description>
