Very good cake. Reduced sugar by 1/2 cup. Added 6 chopped and soaked dates and another 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. Added chopped pineapple to the frosting and reduced the confectioner’s sugar. The cake was moist.

No, there is no oil in this cake, but you could try adding some if you think it needs it. You could try adding in vanilla for a little more flavor?
